  1. What is your name? Where are you from? What regional club are you a member of?

    “James Tyree II from Portland,Oregon (pronounced or-ih gun) Youknow, come to think of it I don't know that I am a member of a regional club My number is all I have.”
  2. How many Power Stroke Diesel engines have you owned? Please tell a little bit about each engine you’ve owned.

    “One. It was a PRFECTED 6.0L Powerstroke Turbo Diesel made late June 2004 in a 2004 F-250 Super Duty supercab XLT 4x2 automatic long bed in dark torreador red with nice mud flaps and bedliner and General Ameritrac TR tires with premium wheels power everything and the comfy seats with the adjustable headrest and integrated seatbelt. Sweet! I love the sound of it. It is refined a bit emissions and sound level wise from 2003 and not as quiet as the 2005 and newer which are just too quiet for me.”
  3. What made you decide to by a diesel engine instead of a gas?

    “I had been driving a 2004 F-250supercab XL 4x2 automatic longbed with a 5.4L Triton v-8 and found that I needed to fill up my tank several times a week since I was towing around a tractor and where I live there are a lot of hills. I checked out a used truck in spring 2006 and jumped on it after falling in love after the test drive.”
  4. Do you use your engine for work? If so, what type of work do you do, and how does owning a diesel engine benefit your business.

    “Work. Field mowing and lawn mowing. The benefits were that I got better fuel milage and had more torque to pull loads.”
  5. Do you use your engine for play? If so, how does the diesel engine support your hobbies?

    “My personal pleasure to turn on and hear the sound on my "Brutus"”
  6. Tell me the story of your first Power Stroke Diesel purchase. How did you realize that you wanted a Power Stroke Diesel?

    “Well, I have always liked diesel since I was a little kid and the sound of Ford's Powerstoke has always caught my ear ever since the early 1990's. I knew that I liked the sound and had ridden with my aunt's employer in her 1997 F-250 Powerstroke (which she still has and I drive while working for her now!) and enjoyed the ride a lot. It made abig impression on me. Myfirst experience was in a "93 dodge cummins just after the new ones cam out.My dad worked at a Dodge dealership for a summer and came home in one and drove me around the block in it. It was too loud. So that and the right truck pakage sealed to deal for me.”
  7. What other diesel engine brands have you owned. What made you switch to the Power Stroke Diesel brand.

    “I have not owned any others.”
  8. What would you tell others who are interested in purchasing a Power Stroke Diesel?

    “I had it for a year and it averaged 14 MPG which isn' great (double the milage of a semi) but I would do it again in a heartbeat If and when I could afford diesel at $4.50/gal!”
  9. If you could change anything about your Power Stroke Diesel what would you change?

    “I would say the milage should be more like low to mid 20's”
  10. When you brag to your friends/family about your Power Stroke Diesel Engine what do you tell them?

    “I love it and I will have this truck until I die!”

    “Unfortunately I no longer own this truck but it is for sale in Washington and I would love to buy i back.”

  2. How many Power Stroke Diesel engines have you owned? Please tell a little bit about each engine you’ve owned.

    “This is my first, and im counting on it to be one of very few. i actually plan on passing it down to my son when he is old enough to drive. he is only 5.
    my truck is 10 years old and still running strong.”
  3. What made you decide to by a diesel engine instead of a gas?

    “better mileage and power for a bigger truck”
  4. Do you use your engine for work? If so, what type of work do you do, and how does owning a diesel engine benefit your business.

    “nope”
  5. Do you use your engine for play? If so, how does the diesel engine support your hobbies?

    “its fun to blow black smoke in the open windows of cars next to me. hehehe.”
  6. Tell me the story of your first Power Stroke Diesel purchase. How did you realize that you wanted a Power Stroke Diesel?

    “this is my first. ive been wanting one for a while but it had to be an old 7.3. the 92-97 body style is my favorite”
  7. What other diesel engine brands have you owned. What made you switch to the Power Stroke Diesel brand.

    “no others”
  8. What would you tell others who are interested in purchasing a Power Stroke Diesel?

    “the 7.3 is very dependable and just dosen't stop”
  9. If you could change anything about your Power Stroke Diesel what would you change?

    “i will be adding an intercooler, and cold air intake soon, i already put a shift kit in the e40d and put a tuner on the motor, and i'm thinking about upgrading the turbo and injectors. the engine works fine. i just have to work on it to stay sane.”
  10. When you brag to your friends/family about your Power Stroke Diesel Engine what do you tell them?

    “20 mpg in a 446 cu. in. v8 haha my dad drives an 07 gmc suburban gas burner and averages 12”

    “Hi my name is Kenneth. I am from the Houston area and I am a member of Powerstroke.org and Lone Star Powerstrokes Local Chapter.”

    “I've owned one ,it is a 6.0l”
  3. What made you decide to by a diesel engine instead of a gas?

    “At the time it was the cost of fuel and th durability of the diesel engine itself”
  4. Do you use your engine for work? If so, what type of work do you do, and how does owning a diesel engine benefit your business.

    “Nope , no work for mine.”
  5. Do you use your engine for play? If so, how does the diesel engine support your hobbies?

    “No just a daily driver.”
  6. Tell me the story of your first Power Stroke Diesel purchase. How did you realize that you wanted a Power Stroke Diesel?

    “My dad has owned a few and always had good luck with them.”

    “None, True Ford Blue here”
  8. What would you tell others who are interested in purchasing a Power Stroke Diesel?

    “what ever they want to know.”

    “better head bolt design”

    “Good Power , Good MPG”

    “I'm Justin Vincent and I'm from east Texas there aren't any clubs down my way so I'm not a member of any. I wish I could be though.”
  2. How many Power Stroke Diesel engines have you owned? Please tell a little bit about each engine you’ve owned.

    “The truck I have now is my first vehicle, my dad bought it brand new in 1997. He drove it and then gave it to me when i got my license at 16 and before that we had one of the first 7.3's when they came out with the turbos on them. My dad now has a 2004 6.0. I am still on my first engine with 304,000 miles with no problems, she purrs like a kitten. I have never had any major problems with this truck.I love it.”
  3. What made you decide to by a diesel engine instead of a gas?

    “The price of fuel at the time, the power, and durability of the engine.”
  4. Do you use your engine for work? If so, what type of work do you do, and how does owning a diesel engine benefit your business.

    “Work, i pull a landscape trailer, a 30 foot dovetail with a john deere 310d backhoe, round bales of hay, and a 24 foot cattle trailer. My dad owns a construction comany, we have a family ranch and i own my own landscape company. Diesel is the only way to go in my line of work because of the power.”
  5. Do you use your engine for play? If so, how does the diesel engine support your hobbies?

    “It gets used to haul four-wheelers and cattle as well as horses to rodeos and shows.”
  6. Tell me the story of your first Power Stroke Diesel purchase. How did you realize that you wanted a Power Stroke Diesel?

    “My family has always owned Fords and that is the way it is going to stay even though my truck was handed down to me, I love it and i wouldn't trade it for any other truck the next one i get will be a 'stroke.”
  7. What other diesel engine brands have you owned. What made you switch to the Power Stroke Diesel brand.

    “Never have, never will own any other brand”
  8. What would you tell others who are interested in purchasing a Power Stroke Diesel?

    “Do it, its a great investment”
  9. If you could change anything about your Power Stroke Diesel what would you change?

    “the speed when im unloaded, but i think that is because of the miles”
  10. When you brag to your friends/family about your Power Stroke Diesel Engine what do you tell them?

    “I tell them about the zero problems i have had and how many miles i have. Still no problems and I still pull just as much as i ever have.”

  2. How many Power Stroke Diesel engines have you owned? Please tell a little bit about each engine you’ve owned.

    “This is the first Power Stroke I have owned. It's an early 03 6.0 Power Stroke.”
  3. What made you decide to by a diesel engine instead of a gas?

    “Years ago, I was driving a gas engine half ton. It worked ok, but when it came time to pull my horse trailer, the thing struggled pretty bad. So, knowing that diesels were known for their pulling abilities, I opted to switch to them. That was in '93 and I haven't gone back to gas since. Nothing compares to the torque and power of a turbo diesel.”
  4. Do you use your engine for work? If so, what type of work do you do, and how does owning a diesel engine benefit your business.

    “No, it's purely for pleasure.”
  5. Do you use your engine for play? If so, how does the diesel engine support your hobbies?

    “I use my Power Stroke to haul my horses around and to pull my fifth wheel camper. I've used it to tow my horses to ropings and have taken my 5er on several camping trips, including one last summer to Gettysburg, PA for a week long vacation. I would never have been able to pull the mountains in West Virginia and western Pennsylvania with a gasser, let alone average 12 mpg for the trip!”
  6. Tell me the story of your first Power Stroke Diesel purchase. How did you realize that you wanted a Power Stroke Diesel?

    “I really wasn't in the market at the time, but I went to the local new auto show at the Edward Jones dome. The 6.0 Power Stroke was brand new at the time. I got to looking at the truck they had on display there and got hooked. Within two weeks, I was the proud owner of my first Power Stroke.”
  7. What other diesel engine brands have you owned. What made you switch to the Power Stroke Diesel brand.

    “I've owned two (competitor brand) with a 6.5. At that auto show, I heard about the power and fuel mileage the (then) new 6.0 Power Stroke had. The truck I was driving got horrible mileage by comparison, so making the switch was an easy choice. I've never regretted it.”
  8. What would you tell others who are interested in purchasing a Power Stroke Diesel?

    “Do it! You won't regret it.”
  9. If you could change anything about your Power Stroke Diesel what would you change?

    “I wish I could roll back the mileage to 0 and start over again.”
  10. When you brag to your friends/family about your Power Stroke Diesel Engine what do you tell them?

    “I tell them about the power, towing capabilities and the awesome fuel mileage (18-20 highway in a crew cab dually is pretty amazing!).”

    “I've owned my Power Stroke fo the last 5 years and have never enjoyed a truck and engine as much as this one. It was and continues to be, the best vehicle/engine purchase decision I have ever made!”
