Diesel Newbie!

This is my first diesel, and I'm the last in my family to join the diesel owner's club! I was a little shocked by the lack of mpg's at first, but the style, fit and finsh of the truck made up for the fuel bills (and the mpg's have increased since the motor has a few miles on it now!). We pull a 21' travel trailer with it and can't even tell it's back there. I also love the integrated trailer-brake control system along with the reverse camera. It makes towing SO much easier. I'm soaking up diesel knowledge like a sponge and loving it. Hope to learn more from this site and from other members. Happy trucking!

F250 7.3

I have a 2002 Powerstroke which is my baby. About two years ago I got into an accident and well buumer to say they had to put in a new fornt section of frame. The body shop had my truck for 5 months which I thought was a really long time. I had 23k dollars worth of damage and the insurance company would not call it a complete loss. My truck was only worth 25k at the time. I figured I should have broke all the windows out to get a new Ford =) . Long story short I have my truck abck and it runs and looks great. Ive got all the Banks Programs and 4" straight exhaust. Getting ready to throw a 6" stack out the bed. Also looking to get a different turbo, dont know how the ATS sounds but Im looking for a turbo that is loud. Any suggestions let me know.

Dynomite!!!

I use my 6.4 litre F350 to tow my 31 Ft 5th wheel 12000 lb trailer. I travelled from BC to Alberta to North West Territories then on to Alaska then back to Southern BC. This truck PULLS beautifully!!! I loved the way it ran so I put it on the Dyno to test for HP and Torque and to my amazement it ran 326 HP @2900 rpm. and twisted a wild 686 pounds of torque @ 2100 rpm. We tested it 3 times and the readout was the same. If anyone out there in Cew Club Land has had a similar experience please e-mail me I would like to hear about it. I love my Ford!!!

Lost Turbo

On my first trip hauling our 40" 5th wheel trailer, I lost power (no boost from turbo) just outside Meadow Lake Saskatchewan. Limped into town and straight to the Ford dealer there. They found the brack that holds the arm for the variable had come away. They did a temp fix and when I returned home my dealer replaced the turbo. I never expected problems like this in less then 5000 miles! I truly hope this is the only time I have trouble with it!

Better MPG and sound.

My 2005 F-250 picked up about 1.3 MPG without the muffler and sounds alot better doing it now.

1st trip in new truck

We bought our PSD new in 2004 one month later we took it out to Colorado, We traveled all over the state and went down through New Mexico before we headed back home to Indiana and I knew after that trip that I would never drive a better truck. With the PSD and 5spd auto trans it had put all past trucks I've driven to shame this is my second PSD.

F-450 dually

My f-450 is awesome it has a 3inch lift on it and it is a flatbed. Its a 2000 but the factory exaust would not cut it for that 7.3liter engine. So i put 4inch stacks on both SIDES on the bed. I did't want them coming up through the bed so i run them on the sides it looks very good.It will tow with no problems....

Better Milage that I was getting

I love my truck. I bought my 2003 F250 because I wanted the capasity to tow what ever and also get better fuel mileage than the Ram I traded in. Boy was I surprised. I got about 11-12 around town in the Ram and now am getting 14-16 in the PSD. GREAT. I got about 16 on the Hwy in the Ram and, if I can keep my large left foot out of the firewall, I can get 21 in the PSD. Did I tell you I love my truck. Last year I drove my truck for Chattanooga, TN. to Grand Junction, CO. I was able to drive about 750 miles before I had to fill up and made it to Hays, KS. when I stoped for the night. Next morning I drove on into Grand Junction, CO. It was a great drive through the Rockys and the Tow Haul mode on the tranny worked well on the down hill runs. Toped out at The Eisenhower Memorial Tunnel approximately sixty miles west of Denver, Colorado on Interstate 70. It is the highest vehicular tunnel in the world, located at an elevation of 11,013 feet at the East Portal and 11,158 feet at the west. I had a gerat time traversing throught the Rockys in my PSD and have lots of pic's amd memorys to show for it. Thanks for the power and the economy.
